Warrah is a disability services provider, based in North West Sydney. Position Summary:
The Training and Development Coordinator will assist with the development and implementation of Warrah’s Training and Development strategy, priorities and plans across all Warrah’s services. This is an internal consulting role with a significant focus on managing organisational learning, training, compliance strategies and continuous improvement through upskilling and enabling management and staff to meet key organisational needs and enhance the quality of service delivery.
Relationships
- Works closely with Service Area Managers, Coordinators and the School’s Principal and Assistant Principal in implementing Training and Development initiatives
- Works collaboratively with HRBP’s and with front line staff in the delivery of Training and Development
- Develops and maintains relationships with external training suppliers
Key Accountabilities and Actions
Training Strategy and Plan
Assist with developing and implementing a Training Strategy and Plan, which includes the following:
- Conduct gap analyses and identify training needs through quality needs analysis
- Coordinate logistics for workshops/training sessions, monitor schedules for training plans and performance reviews and coordinate follow ups on un-met training needs
- Take a proactive approach to the ongoing development of ELMO as a Learning Management System, including training content development, policy updates, quality and compliance training reports.
- Coordinate and deliver on-the-job Training and coaching that is relevant and easy to understand as applied to the day-to-day work environment.
- Assess the effectiveness of training sessions through employee feedback and knowledge retention.
- Liaise with external training providers and educational institutions to identify appropriate external training solutions.
- Analyse training data, reconciling all training completion records, evaluating feedback and producing reports.
- Actively engage in on boarding new team members ensuring they have access to the required information, Training and systems and have completed all mandatory training.
Quality and Compliance
- Support the People & Culture team and service areas in coaching, mentorship, and auditing activities.
- Explore appropriate recommendations regarding Training and Development systems, policies & processes, risks, and continuous improvement across Warrah’s services.
- Assist with updating and maintaining Training and Development related policies and procedures to comply with latest legislation.
- Liaise with the People & Culture team to support the induction of new staff and conduct audits as required from a training perspective.

Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Training and Development, , Organisational Management, Human Resources, Certificate IV Training and Assessment)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Training & Development role, ideally in the disabilities sector
- End to end experience in training strategy development, including needs analysis, implementation and review
- Experience working with a Learning Management System, e.g ELMO
- Demonstrated experience in training content development
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging and motivating training sessions both remotely and face to face with the ability to clearly explain information
- Proven experience in coaching Coordinators/Managers to upskill their teams
- Strong organisational and project management skills and excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage constantly changing workloads
- Exceptional interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with sound ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Sound knowledge or a willingness to learn the legislative and policy environment for non-for-profit disability service providers
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Clearance Check and Full NSW Driver’s Licence
