Seeking a highly motivated and experienced training professional to join a Site Systems Training Team.

An international mining house that is at the forefront of the extraction of coal is seeking an experienced Training Assessor to join their team and provide site-based support to project contractors and project managers in the Bowen Basin.
Your new role
Key focus will be the effective creation, maintenance and provision of training services in line with the business plan requirements. The successful applicant will have responsibilities of the development of new training content, materials and methodologies for the delivery of on the job and occupational training.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Design and develop entire end to end training packages to meet area operational plans, based on skills needs analysis, training needs analysis and gap closure
- Development and maintenance of a TNA for site
- Liaise with subject matter experts on training content development and assessments
- Development of e-learning packages
- Advising operational departments of training requirements for the control of material risk and legislative training requirements for plant and equipment
- Facilitation and assessment of training packages to staff
- Providing support and mentoring and coaching for on the job Trainer and Assessors
- Analyse training data to provide timely advice to each area of the business to enable training plans to be put in place to close gaps in training competencies
- Ensure site compliance to all relevant Coal Industry requirements in the training space
- Continually review and pursue our training packages and content to achieve industry best practices/standards
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within training for the mine site
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will ideally hold the following:
- Minimum a Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment, alternatively a Diploma in Training Design & Development / Vocational Education & Training is desirable.
- Working knowledge of the current skills packages required for the Coal Industry or have exposure to working in an aligned heavy industry or rail.
- You will bring to this team your sound and proven experience content design & development, with strategies supported by an understanding of national training packages.
- You will be an experienced facilitator across a broad spectrum of content being comfortable teaching colleagues of all levels within the organisation. You will also be a natural coach to other Trainers and Assessors offering support to those new to the skill.
- Previous experience in Leaning Management Systems (Success Factors) within the Mining/Mineral industry will be advantageous.
- You will be results driven, focused, and have the ability to bring out the best in others and have strong communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships across site to achieve excellence.
