  • Our team is located in Tamworth with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available
  • Salary ranges from $106,025 to $117,363 plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
     

About the role
Supports the delivery of an integrated support service for apprentices, trainees and their employers and promotes and markets vocational education training in a regional area.

  • Have ongoing dedication to ensure that programs and services meet the needs of Vocational Education and Training stakeholders.
  • The ability to effectively provide dependable support to VET stakeholders in a challenging and changing environment.
  • The ability to easily develop positive working relationships with all stakeholders to support the implementation of a contemporary commissioning approach.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
     

Essential requirements of the role

  • A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role.  The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
  • Current drivers licence and a willingness to travel
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

  1. Please provide an example of when you were responsible for completing multiple tasks with competing deadlines?
  2. Guided by Vocational, Training and Education (VET) Legislation, policies and guidelines the Training Coordinator will provide staff with advice and options to support their stakeholders in VET opportunities. To ensure staff pass on accurate advice, please share how you previously planned or coordinated activities to help staff understand and apply relevant Legislation and regulation in their duties.


Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.
