About the role
We are looking for a Training Coordinator to work onsite at the Ranger Rehabilitation Project, to support the needs of our employee and contractor workforce. This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to manage all training needs of the workforce. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Training and assessing
- Delivery on the weekly project induction
- Ensuring that the provision of training services is conducted in accordance with the legislative and regulatory requirements and complies with all elements of the Learning Management Framework (LMF);
- Plan, schedule, develop, deliver, assess and evaluate training modules as per business requirements;
- Manage workforce training needs including training needs analysis (TNA) and review;
- Participating in project work to support training and development across Rio Tinto.
- Manage training data in the learning management system
- Participation in improvement projects related to updating contractor onboarding and training management tools
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Trainer & Assessor
- C Class drivers licence
- High degree of computer literacy skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in training and assessing
- Experience delivering induction training
Highly Desirable:
- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training & Assessing
- SAP LMS Systems experience.

Where you’ll be working
Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ERA) is a publicly listed company with Rio Tinto its major shareholder. ERA has mined and produced uranium oxide from its Ranger mine in the beautiful and rugged Alligator Rivers area of the Northern Territory since 1980. The Ranger mine is located on Aboriginal land, and is surrounded by, but separate from Kakadu National Park.
Mining at Ranger ceased in November 2012 and since then, Ranger has been processing ore from stockpiles.
The role is either Darwin based on a Bus in Bus out arrangement between Ranger Mine and Darwin, or locally based residential in Jabiru. Subsidised housing arrangements for Jabiru residents will be included.
