Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA's Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland's largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.

BUMA Australia provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.

Job description:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Training Coordinator to join our Goonyella team. As an integral member of the Health, Safety & Training team you will be responsible for working with our crew trainers to coordinate site inductions, reviewing SOP / SWP's, Move & Test, Close Supervision, Minimal Supervision and Challenge Testing assessments and records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete practical/theoretical assessments for site employees.
• Maintain the practical/theoretical assessments records for site employees.
• Manage assessment completion details so the Training Needs Analysis can be updated accurately.
• Complete site inductions and pass-outs for site employees.
• Assist employees and site personnel with applicable queries.
• Other job-related tasks as and when requested by the leadership team.

Profile description:

About You

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a systematic approach
• Current light vehicle/heavy vehicle (as required) Driver's Licence - Essential
• Current Standard 11 and G2 certificates - or willingness to obtain
• Good knowledge of Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• A good team player attitude with a passion for problem solving and helping others
• Strong time management and attention to detail skills
