Seeking a Training Coordinator on a 9DFN Roster, FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO to Central Highlands Region. Your new company Work for a leading and global mining organisation with sites across Queensland. This permanent full-time position can either be DIDO or residential, with an opportunity for the right candidate to be FIFO from Brisbane. Your new role Established many years ago, this organisation owns and operates multiples mine sites throughout Australia with corporate offices in every major city. Not limited to just one resource, this organisation leads the way in diversified mining operations to encompass many different types of ores and minerals. Aside from their domestic operations, they have operations throughout several continents whilst managing these from their internationally based HQ. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Manager, you will support the Health, Safety and Training Department by providing training, technical, administrative support to the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
Review and manage work practices of trainer/assessors so they are in accordance with the statutory safety and environmental requirements, company procedures; and appropriate risk management processes;
Participate in compliance audits as required;
Mentor, coach and assist trainer / assessors in the coordination of activities to ensure consistent high quality outcomes are achieved;
Coordinate activities of trainer / assessors within area of responsibility
Provide leadership and direction to employees and contractors such that they carry out their work safely and efficiently;
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will require:
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
Heavy industry or mining experience
Advanced computer skills - particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good understanding of QLD Coal Mining statutory obligations.
Thorough understanding of Queensland Statutory obligations relevant to OH&S
