The Government’s main financial management system (FMS) Masterpiece, used by the majority of SA Government Agencies (excluding SA Health), was implemented 30 years ago and is reaching the end of its useful life. The Finance Reform Program (FRP) is leading a significant program for State Government to implement Oracle and best practice processes. The program will fundamentally change the way finance activities are performed across all in-scope Agencies and impact a broad range of stakeholders, including financial, ICT and operational teams.
Job Description:
The Training Manager will support the Change Management Lead and Deployment Teams through the execution of the program’s Training Strategy.
You will lead a team of training and development professionals who will be responsible for delivering creative, engaging, and effective training strategies that build capability and support end user adoption of Oracle. As the Training Manager you will have a significant role in the transition to and adoption of Oracle and best practice processes across SA Government.
To be a successful candidate you will need to have thorough knowledge and understanding of modern training practices and methodologies to deliver adult learning across a diverse stakeholder landscape. You will need to be proactive, driven and experienced in designing, delivering, and evaluating training.
The role will also provide the successful candidate the opportunity to:
- Up-skill in Oracles latest cloud ERP technology; including the opportunity to become certified in the product suite.
- Develop and build across-Government networks and experience.
- Network with multiple global system and service provider vendors.
- Set benchmark training delivery outcomes on a program of significance in SA Government.
Special Conditions:
This is a contract position. Some out of hours work may be required. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. The incumbent may be required to be assigned to another position at the same classification level across the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). The incumbent will be required to participate in DTF’s Performance Management Program.
Any individual recommended for appointment/employment will be subject to a criminal history/record check, in accordance with the DTF Pre-Employment Screening (criminal history/record check) Policy. Disclosure of any pending charges is also mandatory. Previous criminal conviction or pending charges will not necessarily preclude employment.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory SAPOL Clearance or General Employment Probity Check as directed by Shared Services SA.
Shared Services will initiate appropriate background screenings for successful applicants at Shared Services SA’s expense. Applicants should not initiate their own screening checks or clearances and doing so will not entitle the applicant to reimbursement from Shared Services SA of costs incurred.

Remuneration: ASO8 ($119,317 - $123,822 p.a.)
