We have 14 Depots in every State and Territory around the country, as well as several regional depots and this role will impact on every location and every person in our business.
About the role
Reporting to the Training Manager, the first 12 months of this role will be heavily project based, supporting COPE go-live on a new ERP system. Once completed, this role will own the LMS - Rapid Global, create and update online learning with technical content provided to you, champion ‘soft skills' training and be an active participant in the broader People & Culture Team.
Responsibilities
- Be a role model for COPE Principles and promotes a safe working environment with a ‘safety first’ culture.
- Actively participate in projects, from designing course content online, delivering training and documenting outcomes.
- First point of contact for training needs and program compliance and escalate issues to appropriate Managers, as required.
- Assign training schedules, both e-learning and face-to-face programs to Managers for every new starter.
- Promote standardisation of training materials and delivery across the business.
- Promote continuous improvement within Training, Learning and Development across every COPE Depot as well as within our parent company, Federal Group.
- Run or participate in training initiatives and programs as directed.
Skills and attributes
- Highly motivated with superior attention to detail
- Minimum 3 years in a Training / Learning & Development role
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Development highly desirable
- Rapid Global experience highly desirable
- Experience developing content using Pawtoon or like software
- Transport, logistics or similar blue-collar industry experience desirable
- Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills
This position represents an outstanding opportunity for the right individual to develop their system skills in building content and compliance, whilst also having input into broader training initiatives. Whilst there can be some flexibility, working from home regularly isn't viable for this role because the incumbent needs to learn our business and have a presence.
