Our QLD State Government client is looking for a Training Specialist to join their team and play a pivotal role in implementing the Best Practice Review of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland by assisting the various work units within the department to meet the expectations of compliance and enforcement that the community expects of us as a regulator. This role has a strong training development and delivery focus. However, previous hands-on experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, human-centered design principles, and self-starting, flexible approach will assist you to be successful in the role.
Key responsibilitiesAnalyse, design, develop, deliver, and assess training via a range of delivery channels, managing scheduling, attendance, and completions
Use instructional design capabilities to create training content and appropriate learning activities
Deliver training on the use of the RAPID solution and the Reporting solution both face to face and online to inspectors, investigators, and licensing staff
Contribute to the implementation of the change management plan and the departments Organisational Change Management (OCM) framework.
Support delivery of SDT change program activities, including communication (key messaging) and capability initiatives and assisting the Change Manager in preparing and facilitating a range of workshops, readiness sessions, and coaching sessions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and change champions to promote new ways of working within business units across Queensland.
Be responsive to professional and constructive feedback
Engage with the change champions to monitor organisational change impacts, enable benefits realisation, and assess local business readiness needs
Identify and evaluate change, communications, and capability development risks relevant to program delivery.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience working in large complex organisations
Experience with face-to-face training as well as online training
Certificate IV Training and Assessment Qualification required
Experience in an Agile Way of Working environment.
Initial 6-month contract with likely extension
