Role Purpose:
This role will report to and work closely with the Change Manager and the rest of the change team to support the ongoing education, communications and change management processes involved in rolling out a new system. The role splits it’s focus between increasing acceptance and capacity to adopt the new ways of working across school community and building the capability of internal stakeholders to support schools as we transition to business as usual.
The Training Specialist / Change Analyst (VPS5) will be responsible, in partnership with the other two Change Analysts, for developing and delivering training and support materials on the use of the system. This role will also make a significant contribution to change communication planning and lead the creation of communication artifacts.
The primary purpose of this role is to:
- Work closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to determine training requirements and ensure learning modules are consistent with legislative requirements where applicable and are accessible for the Department's diverse workforce
- Assist with the design and scheduling of online training programs and develop associated materials
- Deliver training to school principals, school staff and corporate staff
- Conduct evaluations to assist in the continuous improvement of training
- Evaluate the impact of future system enhancements and support the change process associated with these.
Secondary functions of this role are:
- Contributing to change communication planning and drafting communication materials as needed
- Support project management requirements of the roll out.
Looking for:
- Proven experience training school principals, school staff and corporate staff on related subject matter is highly regarded
- Excellent written communication, presentation and public speaking skills
- Knowledge of and interest in occupational health and safety and/or workers compensation highly regarded
- Understanding of sound educational design principles, teaching methodologies and tools
- Technical proficiency in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint), e-learning software and audio-visual setup
- A valid driver’s licence.
