Hays is excited to partner with a tier one mining operator within Queensland’s coal mining industry, currently seeking a Training Specialist.
Your new role
As Training Specialist, you will develop, oversee, and enhance training material content through meticulous design and facilitation processes that align with legal, corporate, and site-specific requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Cultivate robust and collaborative relationships within our operations to optimise performance in training-related areas.
- Provide comprehensive reporting and analytics on the training programs and systems to ensure regulatory and site compliance across the asset.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of adult learning principles and frameworks, integrating these insights into the design of training programs to deliver optimal learning experiences for participants.
- Offer coaching, technical support, and subject matter expertise to identified stakeholder groups to further enhance their capabilities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrate technical knowledge in the design and review of training content and programs, along with a track record of leading and implementing change initiatives.
- Exhibit the ability to communicate adeptly with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders across various teams and sites.
- Possess highly developed writing skills and demonstrate the ability to review and update controlled documents in accordance with company standards.
- Display a commitment to a continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on enhancing training materials to improve end-user experience and the efficiency of the training approach.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and recommend effective improvements.
- Showcase strong computer skills, including a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Suite, coupled with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to organise and manage competing demands and priorities effectively.
- Previous experience as a Trainer Assessor or a background in an operational technical environment within the resources sector would be highly regarded.
- Possess a current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
