Chandler Macleod are currently seeking to fill a Training Specialist role in the Bowen Basin, commencing the first week of April. This role is a 6 month duration, on a Monday - Friday roster.
Overview:
The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting site systems to drive compliance, training and reporting initiatives that positively influence the culture and performance of the site.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, key responsibilities include:
- Advising operational departments of training requirements for the control of material risk and legislative training requirements for plant and equipment.
- Liaising with subject matter experts on training content development and assessments.
- Maintenance of a TNA for site.
- Providing support, mentoring, and coaching for on the job Trainer and Assessors and training administrators.
- Generating and analysing training data.
- Designing and developing training packages to meet area operational plans, based on skills needs analysis, training needs analysis and gap closure.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in training administrator / specialist roles.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Proficient in the use of the learning management system and have a commitment to further develop skills, experience and relationships within the mine sites operational areas.
- An understanding of the AQF and ASQA.
- Industry skills and experience to ensure that the development of training materials is well planned.
- Ensure business needs are met in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ability to provide advice as the subject matter expert on legislative training and licensing requirements whilst providing a customer focused advisory service.
- Proficient computer skills in Excel and Outlook with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to organise and manage competing demands and priorities.
