About the Role
We are currently seeking a Tram Service Technician (Mechanical) to join our Rolling Stock Maintenance team.
The Tram Service Technician (Mechanical) is responsible for carrying out the mechanical maintenance, modification, repair, servicing and inspection requirements regarding the tram vehicle fleet and associated plant and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring a safe and reliable public transport service.
- Efficiently and effectively provide preventative and corrective maintenance to trams.
- Perform preventative maintenance services for mechanical equipment.
- Identifying, diagnosing and reporting maintenance issues in relation to plant, equipment and accessories.
- Making recommendations for improvements on systems and processes associated with mechanical systems.
- Checking, assessing, repairing plant and equipment as determined necessary.
About You
Essential qualifications and capabilities:
- Indentured Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting
- Current SA Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment that required you to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Desirable (not essential) qualifications and capabilities:
- Track Safety Awareness
- Post Trade Pneumatic and Hydraulic Training
- High Risk Licence – Elevated Work Platform, Fork Truck
- AQF Certificate IV
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience related to overall safety, rail safety and other legislation and regulatory requirements
