What this opportunity involves:

We are now seeking a Transaction Manager to join us in Melbourne. You will be working for a reputable account with a national portfolio of properties spanning various commercial property classes.

You will form part of the Transaction Management team responsible for the end-to-end management of your allocated portfolio including critical dates, key lease events, strategy, governance, and transactional / leasing activities.

Whilst this is a hybrid / flexible role, you are required to be based in Melbourne and can attend the office in Melbourne CBD.

What this role involves:

  • Responsible for the comprehensive, end-to-end management of an allocated portfolio of critical dates and key lease events in line with client requirements
  • Negotiation of new (or renewal of) leases, licenses and other use agreements that support the service delivery requirements of the client
  • Management of the market rent review process in line with lease agreements and client requirements, including concurrent engagement with multiple stakeholders including the client, external landlords, their representatives, and client appointed valuers
  • Management of make-good negotiations including formal settlements, requiring concurrent engagement with multiple stakeholders
  • Conducting end-to-end new market searches in line with client requirements, including engagement with external market stakeholders, delivery of professional market presentations to the client with recommendations and full management of administrative leasing requirements through to execution of formal lease documentation
  • Accurately maintain and update client Occupancy Agreements for all leased properties occupied by client agencies as required
  • Provide property market insight and input into client reports, presentations, and dashboards
  • Compliance with client approval procedures, including seeking formal instructions to proceed with all transaction matters, including new leases, renewal of leases, licenses, and other use agreements, maintaining confidentiality and audit trails of communications for probity purposes
  • Comprehensive management of the administrative preparation and execution of new leases, renewal of leases, option letters, license and other use agreements in line with evolving client requirements
  • Comprehensive and accurate record-keeping with respect to all transactional matters
  • Client and stakeholder relationship management – ensuring continued establishment of defined lines of communication and regular meetings with the client counterpart and other key stakeholders

  • 3 to 5+  years’ experience in property transactions and associated services with a track record, ideally in a client-facing tenant representation and/or leasing role  
  • Preferred Tertiary qualification in Property, Real Estate, Business, Law or equivalent. Current Real Estate Licence or Certificate of Registration
  • Prior experience managing a high-volume real estate portfolio will be an added advantage
  • Ability to deal with a variety of complex issues concurrently, within tight operational deadlines.
  • Goal oriented and focused on meeting performance targets.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
