TRANSITION TO SPECIALTY PRACTICE PROGRAM –
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Applications are invited from Registered & Enrolled Nurses who have had at least 12 months post registration acute hospital experience to apply for the widely acclaimed Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) Program in our Emergency Service/Critical Care stream. Our TSP program is designed to provide Registered & Enrolled Nurses with the skills, knowledge and attributes required to transition into Specialty Practice in either of our Emergency Departments in preparation for future post graduate study.
The TSP Program will run over 12 months and will consist of dedicated curriculum that includes:
- Online learning modules & lectures
- Tutorials, including simulation based learning sessions
- Workshops, tailored to the TSP Program
- Clinical support by our Education and Clinical Leadership Team
These positions are ideally suited to Registered & Enrolled Nurse’s that are keen to explore a career in ED or Critical Care nursing. With a supportive education program and strong learning culture in our departments, it is a prime opportunity to embrace all a career in emergency and critical care nursing has to offer. To get the most out of this opportunity and successfully complete the program, a degree of self-directed learning and motivation is expected.

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the:

(Albury Campus) Public Health System Nurses’ & Midwives (State) Award 2023
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.
Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
