Temporary full time opportunity to provide clinical care of patients within, or referred to, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Work in the lead role for one of the ICU pods under the supervision of the ICU Specialist.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Transition Year trainee will manage one of the 3 ICU Pods during the daytime on weekdays (under consultant supervision) and be first ‘on call' overnight.
- To be available for advice to the Junior Doctors (interns, RMOs, and Registrars) where necessary in patient's admission, discharge summaries, reviewing results and investigations.
- Ensure continuity of care via appropriate handover procedure in the unit.
