Transport Administrator

The Role

As a Transport Administrator you will be working with the logistics operations team at our Dandenong South branch. Assisting the operations team members with day-to-day administrative tasks and to manage significant workloads in a busy environment. Workdays are Monday to Friday – Shift hours are preferably 9.00am to 5.00pm but consideration will be given to flexibility.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Answering all email and customer calls related to transport operations promptly and professionally.
• Tracking times of arrivals for pickups and deliveries.
• Coordinate with 3rd parties for deliveries and bookings.
• Creating, checking, and entering data into the TMS general data entry.
• Manifesting linehaul shipments to ensure accurate tracking and documentation.
• Processing consignment notes accurately and maintaining records.
• Recording all fleet management related information.
• Assisting the State Manager with various administrative tasks as required.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• 2+ years Transport administration experience or an associated transport industry position.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively answer emails and coordinate with drivers, off-siders, contractors, and clients.
• Strong organizational skills to manage linehaul manifests, time slot bookings, and other administrative tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate records of consignment note detail, and other documentation. 
• Ability to multitask and commitment towards customer engagement.
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including 365, Teams and SharePoint.
