The Position
This company has a rare opportunity to joint their ranks in a Transport Allocator/DATA ENTRY role, primarily working with LCL and Airfreight, based from the corporate headquarters in Botany, NSW.
This role is working a shift of Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (with scheduled breaks)
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods by coordinating with various stakeholders, including carriers and warehouse teams. The main responsibilities include:
- Scheduling shipments based on available space, customer requirements, and transit times.
- Transport cost enter into internal system
- Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Proactively addressing any issues or delays.
- Optimizing shipment consolidation to maximize container utilization and minimize costs.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of shipment details.
- Implementing and adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Alongside full product and job training given by both my client and their customer covering both the logistics and operational parts of the role, the package on offer for the successful candidate is between $50,000 - $60,000 per year, plus superannuation.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role it is essential that the candidate has experience in importing and exporting regulations as well as booking international and/or interstate freight, good verbal and written communication is also required. Other attributes that would be highly desired by my client are:
- An understanding of Incoterms®, CargoWise, 1-Stop and ICS Customs Portal
- Ability to work autonomously and with within a team
- Problem solving skills
- Minium2 years' experience in a similar role
