We are looking for a TRANSPORT ALLOCATOR with recent allocating experience to join our team based in Brendale. You will play a critical role in our business by allocating and scheduling all transport movements across our network of customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be results driven and solution focussed.
Ideally we are looking for someone who will be committed to this role with a professional can do attitude in order to get the job done. applicants with good computer skills and spectacular attention to detail are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities not limited to:
- Manage the efficient allocation of jobs to drivers and contractors, ensuring efficient communication of these plans to stakeholders
- Prepare safe and efficient transport routes utilising knowledge of load restraints, curfews, permits, driver capabilities, etc.
- Effectively direct, coordinate and supervise to achieve service objectives of the organisation
- Maximise efficient use of assets through coordinating allocation of workloads
- Communicate on a regular basis with internal staff and external customers of any day to day issues
- Ensure compliance is met and facilitate continuous improvement of procedures and documentation
- Direct drivers and advise them of any new processes with clients to ensure correct document is completed on behalf of the client.
- Monitoring the progress of deliveries and troubleshooting delays in the scheduling
- Data entry, connote and DIFOT management.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within heavy vehicle allocations.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task.
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of NHVR and COR.
- The Ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information to achieve desired outcomes.
- To maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication - written and verbal.
- Intermediate MS Office skills.
