We are currently seeking a Transport Operations Manager on a full-time basis to join our team at Victoria Mill, Ingham Queensland to provide execution, direction and coordination of the Cane Supply arrangements.
Reporting into the Cane Supply Manager it will be your responsibility for managing the cane supply and logistics operations across a large geographic area in the Herbert region. This will be achieved by managing the logistics of the Transport Operations personnel to ensure that all operations are smooth running, on time and within budget requirements.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse work groups and a strong customer relations focus
- Established business and financial acumen with a track record of strong internal and external relationships
- Relevant experience in a similar role with sugar industry exposure desired, but not compulsory
- Tertiary qualifications in Management and/or Logistics Management or equivalent practical experience
- Proficient in MS Office suite of applications and the use of logistics/maintenance/procurement software
Key aspects of the role will include but not be limited to:
- Lead employees to participate in and support environment, health and safety improvement activities
- Promote a strong performance culture and provide operational direction and leadership to the region
- Drive and manage the utilisation of best practice logistics standards across the region
- In consultation with production managers, set long-term goals to achieve production and customer objectives
- Work with growers and harvesting contractors to resolve issues and maintain relationships

The salary offered will be commensurate with individual skills and experience. The indicative salary range is $130,000 to $140,000 per annum.
