Positions holders are responsible for logistics planning, controlling, and implementing processes, for example related to global fleet management, utilisation, allocation including:
- Planning & Control.
- Movement & Storage.
- General Logistics optimisation.
- Developing transport schedules, methods, and routes.
- Cargo planning, and strategies to improve depot/ logistics service centre operations.
- Analysing and projecting transportation costs.
- Coordinating customs clearances and permits.
- Planning addresses capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
- Administration of mobilisation and de-mobilisation / delivery of equipment and material to all new and existing project sites across defined territories, ensure submission of necessary documentation and update relevant systems and databases.
- Ensure correct documentation of import and export processes for all materials and related equipment, liaising with appropriate authorities, as necessary.
- Administration of required cargo/driver documentation and certifications.
- Responsible for collection and delivery of equipment to and from customer sites.
- Develop and maintain direct lines of communication with all transport suppliers to ensure all requirements are met.
- Produce relevant performance monitoring data with regard to On Time in Full and transport recoveries.
- Identify suitable equipment to fulfil contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance to Aggreko procedures including ISO/ Internal/ External/ PLC Audits.
- Always ensure strict adherence to Aggreko’s QHSE policies and practices.
- University Degree/Specialised Diploma/Vocational Training.
- Previous experience in a transport / equipment coordination role.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, and sometimes stressful environment.
