Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aspen Medical focused on placing healthcare professionals into regional and remote areas to support the local workforce, is seeking a Program Officer to recruit, onboard and deploy health professionals to these regional and remote areas. The role of Travel & Logistics Coordinator includes working with the Rural LAP's contracted travel agent to organise the most cost-effective accommodation and transport arrangements to ensure Health Professionals are deployed safely to rural and remote Australia. This role is part - time 22.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 30 June 2024.
About the role:
- Work with the Rural LAP's contracted travel agent to organise the most cost-effective accommodation and transport arrangements for each placement.
- Coordinate the Health Professional's itineraries and movements with the Program Officers
- Prepare itineraries for all Health Professionals and email to HPs as well as Program Officers.
- Provide after-hours assistance for travel requirements to staff and HP's including arranging emergency Travel and fielding enquiries.
- Liaise with accommodation providers and manage the accommodation arrangements, as required.
- Maintain HP information and movements in the Sharepoint and update Oracle, as required.
- Other Travel and Logistic duties as required.
- Represent Rural LAP and develop and establish new client relationships
The ideal candidate may come from a diverse set of sectors (ranging from healthcare, recruitment, human resources, or workforce management).
