Job description

Do you want to be part of using the business of banking as a force for good? Do you want to create positive impact for people and the planet? Bank Australia is the bank for people who want to be part of a movement creating a fairer and more just world.
We're growing fast as more people choose to align their banking with their values. We're a customer owned, B Corp certified bank. We empower our staff and 185,000+ customers to be part of the clean money movement.
We are currently seeking a permanent and full time Treasury Finance Manager. This role is focused on liquidity reporting, including production of the ALCO packs, APRA liquidity returns, overseeing deal confirmations and approvals, FTP for the liquidity and borrowings portfolio, securitisation reporting and ownership of the treasury new product introduction process.
Our Treasury and Treasury Finance functions are continuing to mature as the business grows. The Treasury Finance Manager will have the opportunity to be involved with the implementation of the new asset and liability management system and play a significant role in the establishment of public securitisation capability.
Why join us

  • We have big plans to become Australia's most trusted bank and a leading purpose-driven business.
  • As a certified B Corp, we're part of a global business community who meet the highest social and environmental standards, putting purpose over profit.
  • Every role and person in our bank is essential to bringing our values, purpose and aspiration to life.
  • We offer flexible working options, competitive salary and 13% super.
  • Our staff have access to a range of meaningful benefits to support their physical and mental wellbeing including 24/7 free counselling, free flu vaccinations and discounted gym memberships.
  • We also support staff with study assistance, paid parental leave (regardless of gender), volunteer, bereavement, gender affirmation and family violence leave; and the opportunity for bonus annual leave.
  • We support our staff to grow their careers through learning and development and an organisational culture where we reward and recognise innovation and values, not long hours.
  • We are committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce that reflects the Australian community.
  • We care for a conservation reserve - where we work with key partner organisations to protect threatened species and involve staff in conservation.
What you will be doing
  • Ownership and continued enhancement and automation of the ALCO liquidity and investment performance reporting packs
  • Preparation and review of the monthly FTP reporting for the investment and borrowing portfolios
  • Contribute to implementation of QRM, focussing on the implementation and testing of liquidity reporting
  • Work closely with Treasury on the implementation of the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Non-Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) metrics
  • Oversee the approval, booking and reconciliation of Treasury instrument deals
  • Transition the forecasting of wholesale instruments from Treasury to Treasury Finance and own forecasting models
  • Responsible for overseeing the production of all securitisation reporting requirements
  • Co-ordinate with Treasury on top ups to the securitisation pools and review subsequent reporting impacts
  • Work with Treasury on the establishment of additional securitisation warehouses and establishment of public securitisation capability as and when required
  • Continuously seek to improve governance and controls relating to the accurate recording of treasury transactions and balance
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of Treasury related APRA forms, ensuring updates to APRA standards and forms are implemented as and when required
What you will bring
  • Post-qualification experience in finance within the financial services sector (banking and/or treasury experience is also preferred)
  • A knowledge of both Australian Accounting Standards and APRA prudential standards with a proven ability for practical application of that knowledge
  • Relevant degree and post graduate qualification (i.e. CA or CPA)
  • Ability to document processes, identify risks and implement controls
  • Strong systems acumen and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience and focus on process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to meet expected deadlines including planning, prioritising and organising skills
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Experience using a Treasury Management or Treasury Risk system such as GTreasury, Quantum or QRM and an existing knowledge of prudential standards is preferred
  • Commitment to Bank Australia's purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.
