Join us in a crucial role where you will ensure the efficient production and treatment of potable water, adhering to Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG), and the treatment and disposal of sewage to industry best practices and EPA License conditions.
As a key player, you'll lead the treatment team, overseeing their daily operations to provide a safe, high-quality water supply services to the community of Dubbo and surrounds, all while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain high quality treatment of water by reliable operation of the treatment plant, reservoirs, booster pump stations and laboratory services
- Lead and motivate the team in their daily roles, ensuring the provision of high quality drinking water to the Dubbo community
- Operate a computer based supervisory control and data acquisition SCADA/telemetry system
- Ensure provision of 24 hour emergency response to address faults and failures for Treatment plant ,reservoirs and pumping stations
- Supervise the maintenance and operation of the water supply treatment assets in accordance with Council's Policies and Procedures so as to meet Council's objectives as set out in Council's Management Plan
- Supervise your team and their duties ensuring that individual accountabilities and performance are monitored and achieved

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Certificate IV Water Operations (Treatment)
- Solid experience in supervision of water or sewage treatment plants including associated staff
- Demonstrates competency in computer operation and data entry
- Experience in telemetry operations
- Class C drivers licence
- Fluoride course and Chlorine gas handling certificate/training
- Attractive annual salary ranging from $89,324 to $103,808 plus 11% superannuation
