About the role
National Heavy Haulage currently have multiple positions available for highly experienced Step deck operators to join our rapidly growing and professional team. We require casual drivers to assist when we are discharging a boat, and for leave coverage.
- Casual roles
- Based out of the Newcastle area
- Brand new M.A.N. trucks and Freightmore step-deck trailers
- Carting Lithium batteries for new large scale energy project
- Load at Port of Newcastle and deliver to job site – point to point
- Compliance with pre-start and other operational documentation
- Basic roadside maintenance
Skills & experience
- HC / MC drivers licence essential
- Dangerous Goods licence essential
- Willing to undergo a Fitness to Drive assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Current induction to Newcastle Port required
- Current Construction Induction (white card) essential
- Infrabuild induction beneficial
- Current MSIC card advantageous
- Must have knowledge and experience in load restraint for general freight plus oversize items.
