We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice in our Grounds and Maintenance Team. Placing students at the heart of everything we do, the successful candidate will be committed to ‘Cura Personalis’: care for the whole person in support of educational best practice.
The Role
We are excited to offer an apprenticeship opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about Turf Management. As a Turf Management Apprentice, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience and valuable skills while working alongside our team of experienced professionals.
The Grounds and Maintenance Team is an integral member of the College grounds and maintenance team assisting in the upkeep, maintenance and presentation of the College gardens and grounds.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Positive, energetic, proactive, and approachable disposition
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Genuine interest in Turf Management and horticulture
- Willingness to perform manual labour in all weather and climatic conditions
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work unsupervised, showing initiative, safety awareness, and discretion in a school environment
- Current Working with Children Clearance (or proof of application lodgment)
- Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Possession of, or willingness to work towards, Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School
