Undergraduate Student in Nursing

Mater Hospital Brisbane is looking for Undergraduate Studentsin Nursing (USiN) to join the team. These casual roles will be based at the South Brisbane campus and be placed in CNO and our Emergency Department of Mater Hospital Brisbane! Please note these roles are due to commence in July.

You will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse assisting with the care of patients as delegated by the RN. You will consistently deliver a high level of clinical care to patients, demonstrating clinical knowledge and consult with the registered nurse to plan, deliver and evaluate patient centred care.

You will experience a variety of work in surgical, medical and oncology care and will work closely together with nursing colleagues and the greater healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient centred care.

Your scope is in alignment with your knowledge and competency requirements of your university studies with role expectations as per below.

Salary: $32.32 - $32.80 (Mater Nursing and Midwifery Wage Rates) per hour + super + access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!

About you

You will be an Undergraduate Student in Nursing (having completed 1st semester of 2nd year - full time equivalent).  Documented evidence of completion is mandatory.

• be available to complete shifts at short notice
• be committed to excellence in Nursing practice and professional development
• demonstrate ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Previous experience in Nursing eg AIN
