As an Underground Electrician, you will:

• Work as part of a dedicated crew to operate and maintain machinery and equipment to accomplish safe production and maintenance activities.
  
• Install electrical distribution and network systems
  
• Maintain compliance and complete inspections in accordance with Engineering Management plans.
  
• Conduct effective maintenance practices and carry out fault finding and diagnostics on complex systems including:
  • continuous miners
    
  • automated longwall systems
    
  • surface and underground conveyors
    
  • communications and networking systems
    

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Have an electrical trade qualification.
  
• Have experience working in heavy industry, defence on a range of complex electrical plant.
  
• Be an exceptional team member with a can-do attitude.
  
• Hold an absolute commitment to safety and safe working practices.
  
• Experience working in an underground longwall coal mining operation is desirable, although not essential.
