We're looking for a qualified professional to oversee daily operations, uphold legal compliance, and lead a team dedicated to excellence in underground coal mining.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Organization:
- Monitor and organize on-shift activities for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and legislative standards.
2. Leadership and Guidance:
- Provide guidance and coaching to front-line leaders, assisting in decision-making.
- Manage employees to maintain a safe work environment, including handling absenteeism and overseeing incident investigations.
3. Safety Management:
- Take charge of safety matters, implementing and overseeing safe work practices.
- Actively monitor and progress incident investigations to enhance overall safety.
Your Qualifications and Expertise:
1. Certifications:
- Possession of an NSW 2nd Class (Undermanager's) certificate of competency.
- Diploma in Underground Coal Mine Management (Undermanager).
2. Legislative Knowledge:
- Advanced understanding of Underground Coal Mining Legislation.
3. Decision-Making:
- Ability to act decisively in high-pressure environments with competing priorities.
4. Technical Proficiency:
- Intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite.
5. Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, cooperative, and facilitation skills.
