It's important to know, what you do matters.As the Motor FleetUnderwriting Manager for NSW/ACT, you will lead a team of Underwriters in state to drive profitable growth in the portfolio. In this market-facing role, you will be accountable for the execution of the go to market & underwriting strategy, managing new business, and the renewal portfolio.The role will ensure there is effective collaboration across the NSW sales and underwriting team to achieve a strong market focus. You will ensure operational requirements, business needs, opportunities, and gaps are understood and addressed with the broader business. You will be an advocate of change transformation, including the adoption of our sustainability strategy, working with internal stakeholders to achieve operational transformation and alignment of the Commercial business.Important to your success - let's grow together
- Experience in Motor Underwriting and commercially astute with a comprehensive understanding of the general insurance industry.
- Proven technical underwriting capability and technical leadership.
- ANZIIF CIP member or equivalent and bachelor's degree or post-graduate qualifications.
- Strong understanding of the broker market with superior skills in relationship building and negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of the underwriting philosophy, techniques, regulations, and guidelines.
- People management experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation skills.
