We are looking for dynamic and motivated person to join our team in a Logistics Assurance Officer role within Joint Logistics Unit East (JLU (E)) located at Moorebank. The APS 5Logistics Assurance Officer is responsible for a wide range of functions including but not limited to, contribute to sustaining the unit’s cyclic stock take programs, conducting monthly spot checks, compliance checks and progressive stocktaking for Commonwealth managed inventories.They will also be responsible for conducting assurance checks on the warehouse processes such as put away and issues to ensure a high level of reliance in inventory accuracy for JLU (E) Moorebank while primarily office based, some work will involve interaction within our warehouse environment.You will be accountable for sharing information, monitor work practices, set work priorities and develop local procedures. They will be required to supervise, provide leadership and work within to a team, providing coaching and on-the-job training for newer and less experienced team members.You will be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.About our Team

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have supervisory experience
- Have experience in stocktaking, auditing and compliance activities
- Experience in Warehousing and stocktaking systems
- Be capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders, build and sustain effective relationships
- Have a strong written and visual communication skills and great attention to detail.
- The ability to build productive and harmonious team.
- Manage the priorities and needs of the customers to meet and exceed their expectations
- Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable

- Have a good level of computer literacy including with inventory management systems
