This is an opportunity to lead the Traffic Engineering Unit within the Urban Design and Transport Department working towards delivering vibrant self-sustaining communities that are; accessible, functional, safe and well-connected.
Reporting to the Manager of Urban Design & Transport, you will be responsible for leading a highly skilled and integrated team of professionals and provide a high quality, innovative and solution focused road safety, parking, traffic and transport engineering related investigations, assessments and approvals in relation to the city’s local and arterial road networks.
Ensuring that engineering solutions are implemented innovatively within a growth and established areas context and in accordance with industry standards, specifications and Council policy and guidelines.
About you
Ideally qualified in Civil Engineering, with experience in working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, handling a busy workload, strong writing skills, understanding of the local government engineering, planning and reporting frameworks.
You are an enthusiastic, experienced and collaborative individual, motivated by the leadership opportunity of building a strong and productive team. You thrive in working in a fast-paced environment/organisation, with a personal commitment to serving our community and making a difference in Traffic Engineering field within the local government.
