AddressMine Survey Plus has partnered with an Australian-based business with an American presence to supply Mine Surveying services in the United States.
Our first contract is for two months of resurveys, gyroscopic observations, surface control and least square adjustments at a major underground gold mine in Nevada as they prepare for a shaft project. There is a reasonable chance that the contract will be extended (or other work will be sourced), which will allow for an extension to the initial period of up to two years.
The role will suit an experienced mine surveyor with a three-year qualification and at least seven years of postgraduate experience in underground hard rock Mine Surveying.
Mine Survey Plus will provide all the technical support you need to successfully deliver the project, including training on our resurvey methodology, Gyroscopic Theodolite, and least square adjustments.
You will work directly for the American entity via a two-year American working visa. You will receive all of the usual benefits like medical, 401k (super), and incentives to grow the opportunity beyond the initial scope.
The role is full-time, with a salary of $145k USD plus benefits and an ASAP start date (negotiable) with a (somewhat) flexible roster. The initial project period includes a per diem covering meals and accommodation.
Your qualifications
- At least an Advanced Diploma or Degree in Surveying (required for the visa)
Your Experience
- At least seven years post-graduate experience (required for the visa)
- Extensive underground hard rock Mine Surveying experience
- Leica hardware
- Strong Deswik skills
Desirable
- Underground control surveys using braced wall station methodology
- Least square adjustments using Move3
- Gyroscopic theodolite experience
- Static GNSS survey experience
