Due to this growth, extra expertise is required to service their growing client base across mid-market valuations.
About the role
A manager role within the valuation team of the Corporate Finance division will have day to day and strategic responsibility leading broader valuations engagements providing high quality, independent and reliable valuations advice to clients.
As a manager, you will utilise your own valuations skills and technical knowledge, work on a range of different engagements and take ownership of projects.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage and train junior members of the team.
- Lead client interviews and take ownership of writing business valuation reports.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy of valuation on given project, transactions and clients.
- Collaborate and build effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and clients
- Identify issues and prepare questions for discussion with clients
- Provide valuation services including Purchase Price Allocations (PPAs) / Intangible Asset Valuations, Convertible Notes, Employee Equity Valuations, and Impairment Testing
About you
- Worked on a range of business valuations including exposure to a variety of clients and projects.
- Knowledge of business valuations and methodologies
Experience interpreting financial statements - 5 plus years of experience within a professional services environment, with ideally 3 plus of that experience within a valuations role.
- CA qualified or equivalent
- CFA and MBA desirable
- Strong technical accounting skillset.
- You must have an understanding of the ASX listing rules and IPO process.
- Previous experience managing a team
- Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work autonomously and complete jobs and as part of a team
- Ability to meet and work towards tight deadlines
