QPS POLAIR operations are provided via a series of contracts with external service providers.
The Vendor and Contract Management Officer will be responsible for providing assistance to the Officer in Charge and Inspector to enable the effective management of POLAIR service contracts.
The position will monitor and report on contractual performance metrics and assist with relationship management between POLAIR and stakeholders.
The position will also provide general assistance to POLAIR in the maintenance and development of contracts or purchases associated with other specialist equipment, warranty claims, shipping of regulated goods and dispute resolutions.
The position is based at Archerfield, Brisbane.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Provide advice to customers on contract related issues.
• Manage Vendor contracts and agreements, including regular monitoring and reporting of supplier performance and effectiveness of agreements.
• Develop and maintain close, professional relationships with key vendors to ensure continued high-level service to customers.
• Assist in the management and monitoring of procurement outcomes and branch priorities.
• Maintain a sound knowledge of contemporary Contract Management and procurement practices, policies and initiatives.
• Prepare briefs, reports and correspondence on a range of acquisition and Contract Management related issues as required.
Role Requirements:
• Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience: Experience in aviation or other high value vendor or Contract Management is desirable but not required.
