The Role
We are looking for an experienced Venue and Wine Experience Manager, with the energy and passion to showcase our wines and lead this amazing venue to reach its full potential.
This newly created role will oversee the daily operations of the venue (including the restaurant, cellar door, tours and events) and lead the cellar door wine program to the next level. You will ensure seamless operations, lead a high-performing team, and build our reputation as a premier destination in the Barossa Valley.
You will bring a passion for wine and food hospitality and exceptional customer service. You’ll work predominately daylight hours, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Develop best in class wine and food experiences and ensure execution to the highest level
- Be responsible for all cellar door tasting experiences, leveraging all opportunities including assets, awards and ideas to drive sales
- Be accountable for venue performance, including Profit & Loss accountability, inventory and cost management, customer satisfaction and forecasting.
- Manage completion or allocation of tasks such as effective roster to budget management, stock control including stock ordering and stocktaking. Managing venue invoice costs and processing.
- Hire, train, schedule and manage team members to achieve results.
- Build a positive team culture through leading, training and motivating team members to deliver an excellent customer experience, ensuing all customer satisfaction metrics are met.
- Ensure that all processes, RSA and policies are adhered to and that the workplace is safe, inclusive and free from harassment or discrimination.
- Be the face of the Venue and be active in local tourism/wine/food forums and drive collaboration with other Barossa wineries and businesses
Qualifications and Experience:
The right candidate will:
- Be a natural leader with a hands-on approach
- Have a positive attitude and friendly, approachable style
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) managing a multi-faceted venue
- High level wine knowledge and Wine communication skills
- Ability to build high functioning and performing teams
- Deal with challenges by offering practical solutions in a timely manner
- Bring strong business acumen with proven record of achieving results
- Experience in marketing activities to build awareness and promote the venue
- Possess exceptional leadership, organisational and time management skills
- Be passionate about the hospitality industry
- Hold a full A class driving licence.
- RSA badge.
