Venue Event Officer (Council)

• Hourly Rate: $32.73 per hour + Super

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Venue Support Officer to ensure the smooth operation of our Civic and Community Facilities.Position Specific Responsibilities & Skills:As a Venue Support Officer, your responsibilities include:

• Liaising with hirers/users regarding booking details and requirements.
• Arranging and moving furniture and equipment for venue hires.
• Maintaining security and cleanliness of facilities.
• Providing courteous customer service experiences.
• Organizing catering and refreshments for meetings and functions.
• Providing technical support for AV, sound, and lighting.
• Ensuring maintenance and cleanliness of facilities.

Skills Required:

• Certificate III in Events and/or Hospitality or equivalent.
• Experience in setting up audio/visual and sound systems.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to physically set up and pack up venues.
• Attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Experience working in a small team environment.
• Knowledge of technical requirements for Civic Facilities clients.
• Ability to conduct venue inspections and handovers.
