High Profile Events, a small and successful conference organiser established 30 years ago, requires an Office Assistant to keep it’s modern Cheltenham office ticking over. Supporting the Managing Director and two senior Project Managers, this position offers an opportunity to play a role in some very interesting and exciting events in Australia and New Zealand.
There will be scope for the right applicant to develop a career in Event Management.The position has two parts: clerical and conference secretariat (concerning conference delegates and speakers)
Tasks:
Clerical:
- Answering phone
- Maintaining files for each event
- Collecting mail
- Mailouts
- Managing stationery and office supplies
- General assistance as required
Conference Secretariat:
All delegate correspondence
- Queries- phone and email
- Delegate registrations- data entry into event management system
- Invoicing
- Processing and allocation of payments
- Confirmations
General
- Floorplans- design and updating (CorelDraw)
- Website maintenance (WordPress)
- Email campaigns (MailJet)
- Online surveys/questionnaires – pre and post-event
Assisting on-site at conference venues if required.
Ideal candidate
Excellent verbal and written skills
Organised with attention to detail
Computer savvy
Ability to learn various software packages
Proficient with MS Office
