Hours: At least 35 hours per week, Sunday – Thursday.

What are we looking for?
As a PowerPlay Venue Manager, you are someone who is a natural leader with a passion for providing an exceptional guest experience. You have great initiative, attention-to-detail, you can think outside the box, and have a great sense of humour. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved wherever you are needed.
We’re looking for:

- Proven experience in retail or hospitality roles.
- A love for interacting with a range of customers - kids, teens and adults, everyone seems to love PowerPlay no matter their age.
- Some decent computer skills, we’ve got some cool booking and race software.
- Some technical know-how, but we are a team, so we’ll figure it out if that’s not in your toolkit.
- First Aid Level 2 is ideal, some people play hard. We can point you in the right direction if you don’t have it, it’s easy to get.
- An ability to work hours where the fun really happens, nights and weekends.
- A desire to succeed and have FUN at the same time.
- A willing to learn and be open-minded.
- A problem-solver that can independently solve problems and think outside the box.
- A team-player and a ‘WE’ person. There is no ‘I’ in TEAM.
- Someone that is reliable and only a phone call away if team members need assistance.
- Someone that can stay calm under pressure and make decisions under pressure.
- Someone that understands not everything is black and white. You can look at all aspects of a situation and make the decision you feel is best given the information at hand.

What is the role?
As a PowerPlay Venue Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our venue on the whole. You will facilitate our fun and exciting environment for our guests by leading a team of amazing employees and maintaining the PowerPlay Team culture that makes the experience as a PowerPlay employee so great.
The Venue Manager role is a hands-on Front of House role with some additional management related responsibilities. So what does the Front of House role involve?
Front of House team members lead from the front and make sure every shift is awesome. Ultimately, it’s as simple as making sure customers are greeted with a smile when they walk through the doors and leave with an even bigger smile. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting our customers with an epic smile.
- Helping each customer with the check-in process.
- Use of our Point-of-Sale system.
- Taking bookings in person, over the phone and managing the online booking system – we’re popular so it’s often quite hectic.
- Generally answering customer’s questions and queries. Basically, being a walking PowerPlay encyclopedia – the website has all our information so it’s not that hard.
- Making decisions on the run that maintain a FUN environment for all of our customers and the PowerPlay TEAM.
- Helping to make each shift awesome by going above and beyond to ensure our guests have an amazing experience.
