We're on the lookout for an exceptional Venue Manager to spearhead our dynamic team at this groundbreaking establishment. As the Venue Manager, you'll be the mastermind behind our entire venue's planning, organization, and direction—covering the restaurant, bar, events, and kitchen. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the delectable delivery of food and beverages, and seamless, profitable service.

Key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Manage rostering and staffing plan guidelines for venues to ensure venue management has the right staff levels and is correct according to the anticipated level of business
- Manage service quality, ensuring high standards are consistently met and staff are trained on customer service expectations
- Maintain inventory systems and investigate variances
- Build a strong leadership group for each venue and coach, motivate, monitor, and manage the team’s performance
- Communicate business goals to employees, providing additional training if required
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Group Bar Manager to create menus and wine/beverages to complement the menu in line with COG targets
- Monitor restaurant sales and in consultation with the team and management, implement activities and schemes in an effort to maximise sales and profit
- Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events, discount schemes, and advertising in line with agreed budgets
- Provide support to the operation’s sales and marketing team
- Ensure that the company’s activities integrate and comply with requirements for quality management, Hygiene, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), environmental policies and general duty of care.
- Ensure good safety practices of employees, assisting in the maintenance and ensuring the compliance of proper emergency and security procedures
- In conjunction with other managers, foster & maintain good public relations
- Maintain venue operational policies and procedures ensuring all staff are trained and compliant
- Support your leadership teams with the recruitment of appropriately skilled staff for front of house and support their ongoing development and training
- Any additional duties within your capability as directed by the Group Ops Manager/Directors
Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and environment, coupled with the following skills and attributes:
- Solid and proven leadership experience within a similar environment
- Proven skills and experience with POS and common Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of internal & external contacts
- Decisive and able to make difficult decisions
