The Italian on Mends Street (formally known as Automatic) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Venue Manager. As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all aspects of the restaurant, from customer service to staff management and financial performance. After a recent re-branding we are taking the venue to new heights and need a strong leader to steer the ship. Our venue is loved and supported by our local community and the food is second to none.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximise profitability.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures.
- Pay great attention to detail and work consistently.
- Supervise shifts and ensure outstanding service.
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience for our guests.
- Handle customer inquiries, comments and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements, as necessary.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
- Create staff rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
Financial Management
- Monitor and manage restaurant budgets, including labour, COG’s, and operational expenses.
- Analyse financial reports and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Marketing and Promotion
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Co-ordinate special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum Two years previous experience in a management position in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and culture is a plus.
- Flexibility and understanding that evenings, weekends and public holidays work is a necessity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
