Who We Are:
Levantine Hill is an award-wining family-owned winery and vineyard in the Yarra Valley. We are a fast-growing company, operating a large single-site premium wine, tourism and hospitality business in Australia.
The business is set across our 3 major vineyards along the Maroondah Highway in the Yarra Valley. Levantine Hill Estate specialises in wine production and wholesale, functions, events, onsite restaurant and cellar door, and soon to open 33 room hotel (currently under construction).
The name Levantine Hill draws inspiration from the French-named Levant, meaning “where the sun rises”. “The Levantine” region is represented in the ancient biblical lands of the eastern Mediterranean. And that is where the story of Levantine Hill Estate began, many generations ago. Like our wines which have been crafted in the old-world ways, our food philosophy honours our Levantine heritage.
Who We are Looking For:
With the opening of the new Hotel due soon, we are looking for an exceptional Venue Manager to lead the operation of our spectacular restaurant and our grow our food and beverage offering to service our existing customers and our new hotel guests. The exciting role will have a lasting influence on how our restaurant supports our new Hotel business. Working as part of a energetic and dynamic team you will be responsible for the day-to-day food and beverage operations, inventory management, and driving patronage and service standards. Your superior customer service skills and experience will allow you to lead by example and enhance our positive team culture. You will also support and assist with kitchen operations in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
Availability on weekends and public holidays is essential.
Some of the Responsibilities:
You will have accountability for the day-to-day running of the restaurant including but not limited to:
- Operations – highest of standards regarding venue presentation and ensuring staff levels are always maintained.
- Customer Service – maintain quality of service and sales in the dining rooms.
- Leadership – team leader on the ground and act as a champion for the Levantine Hill experience
- Strategy & Systems – effectively utilise H&L point of sales system, reservations, and rostering systems.
- Sales & Marketing – wine sales, training your team in sales techniques and empowering them with knowledge for sales success.
- Administration – oversee or undertake all administration that is incidental to your area including reporting accurately, attending meetings and conducting staff briefings.
- Compliance – comply with legal and regulatory standards including OHS, employment agreements, privacy, RSA, equal opportunity, and legislative food safety.
- Human Resource Management – staff management including staff performance, engagement, development and employee on-boarding.
