We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals and assisting veterinarians in various procedures. The Veterinary Nurse will work closely with the veterinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in various procedures, including surgeries, dental cleanings, and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals, including heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
- Educate clients on proper animal care and nutrition
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the computer system
- Clean and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of animal behaviour, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
