Job Description: In response to the growth of the Sports, Leisure, and Events division, the company are seeking a proactive and skilled Assistant Underwriter. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships, providing underwriting support, and contributing to the development of a profitable book of business across all lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers and key company contacts.
- Contribute to the development of a profitable book of Sports and Leisure business.
- Manage the existing book within agreed regions, achieving target retention rates.
- Liaise with London markets and foster relationships with partners in Lloyd's.
- Deliver exceptional service across all aspects of the role.
- Track and monitor account information, managing the renewal book to an acceptable retention level.
- Collaborate with finance and compliance departments on bordereaux, binders, and compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of policy wordings and provisions of binder agreements.
- Promote products nationwide to clients, brokers, and employees/members of our schemes.
- Assist in the development of underwriting and rating guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree is preferable as well as experience in the industry, exposure to casualty, A&H, Liability and property would be adventitious.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fast learner with the ability to grow and develop underwriting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and grow relationships with internal colleagues and external business partners.
- Autonomy and teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
