About the role...
We are searching for a Video Content Manager & Editor in our Global HQ in Torquay in a full time capacity. The role will work collaboratively with all members of the content team to create and execute global marketing campaigns & content helping contribute to bringing Rip Curl’s brand and vision to life globally through contemporary storytelling, forward-thinking ideas and creative audio-visual solutions resulting in the delivery of ‘high value’ content.
It will help contribute to ‘how’ the Rip Curl brand connects and manifests with consumers with a focus on video and audio, in all regions, channels, and journey stages/moments. Responsibilities:
- Film and edit high quality Video Content surrounding brand and product campaigns, events, training and corporate videos to the various required specs
- Lead, manage and motivate the video team to be high performing and highly engaged, ensuring workloads are managed and deadlines hit.
- Working with the HOC, Art Directors and Designers, concept, create and deliver world-class, insight-led, brand and product content in line with the content strategy and through the lens of Rip Curl’s vision and brand values.
- Direct and produce Video Content when required
- Design, create and apply motion graphics when require.
- Continually look for ways to improve quality and efficiency in production.
- Manage content and campaign assets ensuring delivery, safety (back-up) and archiving
This is a unique opportunity to combine a lifestyle and career within the surfing industry. You must have an affinity for the surf lifestyle and the ability to understand the surf market and consumer. Our ideal candidate will;
- Have tertiary qualifications in Film & Media Production with hands on experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience and examples of insight lead storytelling and conceptual thinking through video from storyboarding through to execution and delivery.
- Demonstrated experience filming and editing surfing to a high level.
- Demonstrated experience editing Video Content across genders. Extensive experience of a female audience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in filming in a studio and in field.
- Demonstrated experience in motion graphics.
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience
- A high technical aptitude for video equipment (drone operation a bonus) and software (Premier Pro, After Effects)
- Up to date on current social trends in the video space.
- A great communicator who is highly organised.
