  • This is an ongoing clerk grade 7/8 role, based in Martin Place, Sydney. 
The opportunity: 

As a Videographer-Photographer with the Premier’s Department (PD) and The Cabinet Office (TCO), you will be joining an existing team with a collaborative, collegiate, team-first culture. 

You’ll be at the forefront of documenting and producing top-tier visual content that represents our government’s initiatives and events. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with senior political figures and top-level executives, shaping the visual narrative of our community's most significant moments.

We’re looking for candidates to embrace this unique opportunity to showcase your talents and contribute to the visual documentation of our state's most pivotal moments. We need candidates with the below mentioned skills and experience for this role. 

  • Experienced Documentarian: Proven track record of documenting sensitive community events with exceptional interpersonal skills. 
  • High-Level Engagement Skills: Demonstrated ability in building relationships working with senior politicians, leaders, and stakeholders to establish and maintain strong professional relationships. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of specialised asset management software (CatDV). Skilled in project management tools (Wrike). 
  • Adobe Expert: High proficiency in Adobe Lightroom for retouching images to print and broadcast standards. Strong knowledge of AI applications in image editing. 
  • Cinematography Expertise: Extensive experience as a camera operator with mastery in lighting and composition for both indoor and outdoor settings. 
  • Video Editing Master: High-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Strong focus on narrative storytelling through both short and long-form video content. 
  • Skilled Photographer: Demonstrable experience in event photography and professional headshots. High proficiency in both indoor and outdoor photography. 
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive video and photographic library and archive. 
  • Administrative Competence: Experience in supporting shared administrative responsibilities, including inbox monitoring and equipment maintenance.

Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($106,025 - $117,363) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
