Vineyard Operator / Worker - Temple Bruer Wines

About Us: Temple Bruer Wines is comprised of a winery and six vineyards including Langhorne Creek, Eden Valley, and another four vineyards in the Riverland. We are renowned for crafting exceptional organic wines committed to sustainable practices. We seek a dedicated and passionate Vineyard operator to join our team and cultivate the essence of
our award-winning wines.
Role Overview: We are looking for a practical and hands-on Vineyard Operator, you will oversee all aspects of grape cultivation and ensure the highest quality fruit for our winemaking process. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to organic and sustainable practices while achieving optimal grape yields and quality.
Our Vineyard at Eden Valley consists of approximately 25 Ha of Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Gewürztraminer.

Job Requirements Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day vineyard operations, including pruning, canopy management,

irrigation, and pest control, with a keen eye for organic and sustainable practices.

• Maintain vineyard equipment.
• Develop and implement vineyard plans and schedules, considering seasonal variations and climate conditions unique to the Eden Valley region.
• Collaborate with the winemaking team to align viticultural practices with winemaking

objectives, ensuring the production of high-quality grapes for our premium wines.

• Conduct regular inspections to assess vine health, soil conditions, and overall

vineyard performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Maintain and update vineyard records
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working

environment for all vineyard activities.

• Collaborate with external contractors for specialized vineyard services and equipment

maintenance.

• Be able to work independently, and be self-motivated.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in vineyard operation.
• Knowledge of organic and sustainable vineyard practices is beneficial.
• A degree in Viticulture, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
