Vineyard operator – Northern Adelaide Hills & southern Barossa
Karrawatta Viticulture is looking for a Vineyard operator to work in vineyards in the northern Adelaide Hills and southern Barossa. We currently operate vineyards in Gumeracha, Paracombe, Lyndoch and Gomersal. We are looking to expand our team to enable us to carry out planned developments and provide the service levels required for our clients.
Your role will be to conduct the full range of viticulture activities including manual tasks such as pruning, vine training, trellising, fence repairs, irrigation operations and maintenance, as well tractor operations including spraying, slashing, trimming and harvest tractor work.
The nature of our industry is seasonal and at the mercy of the weather, so there is the requirement that some work may take place outside normal working hours, especially during the spray season and harvest. During peak demand at vintage time, you may be asked to help out further afield.
You will be well supervised by experienced staff with the backing of an extensive team but will also need to be productive when working alone for periods of time. We are looking for someone with good attention to detail and who can carry out the job record keeping we require on our vineyard management phone app.
If you want to work with a great team in a diverse role then apply today. We will judge applicants based on their expertise, not just their qualifications, so if you are unsure, throw your hat in the ring anyway. We will continually review applications, so apply now to avoid missing out.
We don’t need an elaborate cover letter, but we do need a short CV that details your previous employment history and experience. Referees are essential.
