About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Visiting Medical Specialist within the Women and Children's Division.

As a Visiting Medical Specialist within the Family Advisory Unit, you will be:

• responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to you in collaboration with the responsible Resident Medical Officers, Registrars, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
• responsible for the running of the NALHN Family Advisory Unit (FAU) including consulting counselling clients and performing surgical termination of pregnancy.
• involved in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
• involved in continuing education activities.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Health Visiting Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2012 (or its successor).
