About the role

At Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM) the Visitor Experience Officer will assist in and support the delivery of Museum and Gallery services to the community and provide a positive Visitor Experience at various touchpoints throughout the facility.

The successful candidate will be a positive team player and have significant customer service experience in a cultural or high focused customer service environment. They will be able to connect with and interact professionally with a diverse clientele that visit Yarrila Arts and Museum.

• Be flexible and willing to assist in a range of duties relating to Cultural Services public programs, events, and exhibitions across YAM and the library service.

What's on offer?

• Casual Position Available
• $33.25 per hour + 25% Casual Loading
• Work across The City's Museum and Gallery locations including the new Yarrila Place!

The successful candidate will work within the Museum and Gallery space and therefore aligns to the operating hours, the ability to travel to and work at any City of Coffs Harbour locations and to be available across a seven (7) day roster which covers core operating hours and days in an inherent requirement of this role.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of Certificate III in a relevant field such as Museum Studies, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Marketing or Cultural Heritage
• Demonstrated experience in a cultural facility or in a relevant customer focussed service organisation
• Current C Class Drivers Licence
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) - Desirable
